Our Vetting Process

The Wanderous team has selected a broad range of product forms, formulations, and effects to serve a variety of wellness and recreational needs. But these products all have one thing in common: they’ve all undergone a strict vetting process to ensure the highest possible manufacturing standards.

Wanderous brands use only premium hemp grown in the United States.

These products contain only the highest quality ingredients and adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Wanderous products must meet a strict potency difference of ±20%, ensuring cannabinoid content closely matches the label. This tight 20% window, one of the industry’s strictest, isn’t a regulatory requirement but reflects Wanderous’ commitment to accurate dosing for a positive experience.

The learning curve for entering the cannabis industry is steep. Start with the fundamentals and be prepared for a journey that requires both patience and persistence.

Red Flags for Hemp Companies

You should be in charge of your own plant wellness journey, so we understand that you may want to explore products outside of Wanderous. But because hemp derived products remain largely unregulated, it’s very important to do your due diligence before trying something new.

Keep an eye out for these red flags:

  • Brands that fail to have their products lab tested by a third party. Avoid companies that don’t test, or that only test internally.
  • Products containing Delta-8-THC. This can be tricky, as it’s only one number off from Delta-9-THC, which is the molecule found in most reputable plant-powered products, including those featured on Wanderous. Delta-8 is a molecular variation that does not naturally occur in the hemp plant and must instead be synthesized in a lab, a process which produces potentially harmful byproducts. There are currently no standardized testing practices for the production of Delta-8, and its long-term side effects are not yet known. In other words, it’s probably not something you want to put in your body.
  • Non-adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. You wouldn’t buy a traditional packaged food or beverage that ignores these practices – don’t make exceptions for hemp products!
  • Companies that sell hemp products but do not actually fulfill the orders themselves –aka “independent sellers” or middle men. Most of these companies have no formal vetting process in place for the brands they showcase. You can spot these third-party sellers because they’ll often redirect you to a separate website when you click to make a purchase. (NOTE: This flag does not apply to regulated cannabis products that must be purchased in dispensaries, as there’s no legal way to sell those products directly online.)
